I am Madison Heiderscheit

Madison Heiderscheit is currently senior at Columbia College Chicago, where she is majoring in Film and Televison with a focus in Directing and minoring in Marketing. Courses such as Directing I and II, and Fictional Cinema Production have enabled Heiderscheit to gain strong project management, communication, and decision-making skills. In addition, she was honored to be voted to be the director by her peers in her Fictional Cinema Production course. 

 

To date with seven short films Madison has directed and seventeen she has assistant directed she has never let pressure get to her. Madison doesn’t stray from taking charge and upholding her role as director, but she also leaves space for the actors and other crew members to have the freedom to input their own creativity.  

 

During her internship at FACETS Madison handled instructing and working alongside kids ages eight to seventeen and helped them gain hands-on experience with the process of filmmaking.  

 

Madison is also the Vice President for JAM (Japanese, Anime, and Manga) Club at Columbia College Chicago. She hosts C3 Expo, a yearly pop culture convention that highlights students. In 2024 there were over 500 attendees with 47% being non-Columbia students and faculty.  

 

Madison is very adventurous and always looking to expand her experience in directing and other film roles, along with marketing through out future job opportunities.
